A few days ago, I was on face time with my oldest daughter. We were talking, and our grandsons were joining in and asking me questions. Sassy, where are you? Sassy, what are you doing? Yes, my grandsons call me Sassy! After a few minutes into the conversation, the audio just stopped working. We both started pushing buttons on our phones but to no avail. So, we disconnected and started again, but after another few minutes, the audio cut out again. I could see their lips moving, but I couldn’t hear them. Why? There was no reason for the sound just to quit working. The battery wasn’t dead, it worked a few minutes before, so what happened? Our conversation wasn’t the same without the audio; a significant piece was missing.
The Holy Spirit is our counselor
John 14:26, “But the Counselor, the Holy Spirit —the Father will send Him in My name—will teach you all things and remind you of everything I have told you.“
It made me think about the Holy Spirit and the relationship we have with the Holy Spirit. In John 14:19-26, Jesus is teaching his disciples about the Counselor that will be coming to help them after He is gone. We have access to this same counselor that Jesus promised the disciples. After you have accepted Jesus as Your Lord and Savior, the Holy Spirit comes to dwell in you. The Holy Spirit works together with Jesus and God the Father. If one of them were missing, it would be like my conversation with my daughter without audio.
Dear Lord, Thank you for the Counselor, the Holy Spirit, that you sent to help us in this life. Let me trust and walk in the Spirit of truth. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Great analogy! And He has been my audio so much over the last 2 months when I couldn’t find the words to articulate the hurt.
Amen! The Holy Spirit will comfort and cry out for us.
