Lee and DaLee

Thankful for Love and Support

I LOVE to travel! And I love to plan travel and family trips where we might rent a big house, and all the kids can come. My husband, Lee, will tell you, I am happiest when I am planning the next trip. When the kids graduate from High School, I have taken each one on a trip by myself. This year Mason and I agreed, we would take our trip for Spring Break in March. I planned a spectacular trip. Mason is an avid Houston Rockets fan, and I enjoy basketball also. Mason and I were seeing three NBA games in three different cities in three different NBA arena’s in California, ending with the Rockets against the Lakers! Even though my husband thought I was crazy, he supported every moment of my planning and execution. Mason and I had a great time in the first two days! Did I mention, it was March of 2020? On the night that the NBA canceled its season, we were at the arena in Sacramento, and the game was canceled 7 minutes after the game was supposed to start. We then scrambled to catch a flight back to Texas.

Love is patient,  love is kind.

Love does not envy,

is not boastful, is not conceited,

does not act improperly,

is not selfish,  is not provoked,

and does not keep a record of wrongs.

Love finds no joy in unrighteousness

but rejoices in the truth.

It bears all things, believes all things,

hopes all things, endures  all things.

Love is a choice

When we look at 1 Corinthians 13:4-7, it is a definition of Love. But Love is also a choice. It is a choice we make every day to love someone. I am grateful for my husband, Lee, who has chosen to love me well for almost four decades. Have you decided to Love those in your life well? How do you show people that you love them? I am going to encourage you to show or tell someone you love them today.
