Practicing Thankfulness for this journey called Life

It has taken me a long time, almost decades in fact to settle into writing. For so long I resisted doing what I was called to do. I resisted sharing with others what I had written. It was scary for me to put myself out there. In ten seconds I can find a writer on social media that appears to have it all together and I certainly don’t, which then creates more doubt and anxiety. It is very easy in our society to be up close and personal and even interact with famous people. Social media for the most part gives us a beautifully staged snapshot of a perfect life. Not necessarily that person’s real life, but the persona they want the world to see.

How do I use the gifts God has given me to serve others?

10 Based on the gift each one has received, use it to serve others,  as good managers of the varied grace of God. 11 If anyone speaks, it should be as one who speaks God’s words; if anyone serves, it should be from the strength God provides,  so that God may be glorified through Jesus Christ in everything. To Him belong the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.

How do I use the gifts God has given me to serve others? I have at last settled into the Gift of writing that The Lord has given me and am so thankful for this journey. The Lord has been extremely patient with me yet, has continued to pursue me and never has given up on me. To serve others, the words I use must point back to scripture so that God may be glorified.

Do you have a gift that you are resisting using? Has God called you to something that you are not pursuing? God will provide the strength that is needed to continue the journey that He has for you! God asks us to use the unique gifts and talents that He has given to us for His glory. Your story needs to be heard by someone! You may be the only Jesus that someone sees because you pursued the journey God ordained for just you. What is the next step you need to take?

I LOVE this adventure called life. We have no idea what direction, experiences, and adventures that the Lord has for us. We just need to hang on to His hand and Let’s GO!
