2 Consider it a great joy, my brothers, whenever you experience various trials, 3 knowing that the testing of your faith produces endurance
Do we know that our trials test our faith? The definition of knowledge is to understand or perceive that which is fact or truth. So if we KNOW, it is a fact and as Christians, we are to respond to trials with the fact that trials will test our Faith and a successful outcome is endurance, perseverance, steadfastness or patience, depending on the translation that you read.
One of the commentaries I read, suggests that trials wean us from dependence on earthly things and call us to eternal and heavenly hope. During the nationwide trial we are all experiencing, I want to see more heavenly hope! Let’s all encourage one another as we walk together through this trial!
